Save the Children International Organization
Save the Children International is one of the renowned worldwide organization geared
towards safeguarding a healthy future for every child. The organization which operates in almost
all countries in the world, play a significant role in the protection of the children rights,
championing reforms as well as advocating and funding for quality healthcare for children. The
organization has a vision of creating the world where all children are accorded the right to
development and participation, survival and protection. The mission of the organization is to
inspire the world to follow the best ways possible in the treatment of children geared towards an
immediate response to children issues and lasting solutions (Save the Children, 2015). The main
concern of the organization is, therefore, children, who are assisted through advocacy, rights
protection, healthcare and initiating international campaigns on child matters. The children are
assisted either from the correctional facilities within the home countries or from their homes.
One of the major projects initiated by Save the Children International is the global
campaign dubbed “Every Last Child.” (Save the Children, 2015) The campaign aims at ensuring
about 15 million children all over the world who are neglected or excluded by the societies they
live, are accorded proper education and healthcare. The campaign echoes the eradication of
600,000 deaths of children by the year 2030 and a further 50 million children being given proper
education according to the global goals. The impact of the project may be felt gradually, but in
three years’ time, if the 15 million children gain a good education and heath, the world will be
moving close to the eradication of poverty and child mortality rates.
Save the Children International may partner with the American Nursing organization in
the furtherance of its mandate. The main aims of the partnership between the two organizations

would cover, energy responses by nurses towards children in war tone areas, taking care of
refugee children health issues and lastly, running mobile health facilities in poor stricken areas.
In conclusion, Save the Children Organisation through its “Last Child Campaign” will go
a long way in enhancing global healthcare for children.
